Ok, I’m a little late in posting this. But according to Hebrews 3:13, there’s really no deadline for encouraging. I know, I know, the context of the verse was a little more targeted and yes we need to hold fast to our convictions (Heb 3:12-14). But eventually that would include all our convictions and hope found in His Word.

Think about those convictions as it relates to our children’s ministries at Red Brick Church. Do we believe, as the song goes (and the Bible teaches), “they are precious in His sight?” Based on the many who are serving in our nursery, on up through Sunday School of all ages as well as our youth groups, it sure seems that way! And AWANA is no exception! At least 26 Wednesdays a year, adult volunteers and youth, serve the children in our AWANA club. In fact, there will be those serving tomorrow — even the kids — making Spring baskets for the elderly in our church confined to their homes or nursing home care, who need to be encouraged that they are not forgotten.

Later in the book of Hebrews, we’re told to not forsake the assembling of ourselves together. This Sunday, in coordination with other churches, we’ll be celebrating our AWANA ministry. What an added reason to assemble and celebrate together how God is using our talents and time in AWANA to serve the children of our church and many others in the Stillman Valley community and beyond!

So come celebrate this Sunday the goodness of the Lord and the blessings in our AWANA ministry!
