gruenwald_olympic253Two Time Olympic wrestler James Gruenwald will speak on Team Sunday 2013 at the Red Brick Church.

When: Either 9 or 10:30 at The Red Brick Church on Sunday, September 8, 2013

What do I wear? Something connected with a team you are on or a team you like? Or just wear what you normally wear to church!

What do I sit with? Your team – – – or someone who looks like a good teammate.

What will we do? Sing, hear God’s Word, hear someone share his story, receive a free gift. This year we are privileged to welcome a challenge from Olympic Wrestler James Gruenwald:

Gruenwald was a member of the 2000 and 2004 US Olympic team, competing in greco-roman wrestling at the 60kg weight class.  He finished sixth at the Sydney games in 2000 and tenth in Athens four years later.  He was a three-time national champion and retired after winning the 2008 national championship at 60kg.  Prior to coming to Wheaton, Jim spent four years as an assistant coach for the U.S. National team at the United States Olympic Education Center in Marquette, Michigan.  A former Wheaton Invitational champion, Gruenwald’s wrestling resume also contains membership in the prestigous 20-win club at Northwestern University’s Midlands Championships as well as three National Christian College Athletic Association national championships.
